1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and use of electric scooters (“Products”) supplied by Speedbikes SA. By purchasing or using our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Product Use & Safety
   • The scooter is intended for personal transportation use only.
   • Riders must be 14 years or older.
   • Protective gear, including a helmet, is strongly recommended.
   • The scooter must not be used under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
   • Speedbikes SA is not responsible for accidents resulting from unsafe or improper use.
3. Performance Disclaimer
   • Maximum speed and range are estimates and may vary depending on:
   • Rider weight
   • Terrain
   • Weather conditions
   • Battery condition
   • Speedbikes SA does not guarantee specific performance outcomes under all conditions.
4. Battery & Charging
   • Only use the original charger provided.
   • Do not overcharge or leave the scooter unattended while charging.
   • Battery performance will naturally decline over time.
   • Damage caused by improper charging or misuse is the responsibility of the customer.
5. 6-Month Limited Support Policy
   • All scooters include a 6-month limited support period from the date of purchase.
   • During this period, customers may request inspection and diagnostic services.
   • All repairs, labour, and replacement parts are chargeable and will be quoted before any work is carried out.
   • Speedbikes SA may, at its sole discretion, offer discounted repair services for verified manufacturing faults.
   • This support policy does not cover:
   • Accidental damage
   • Water damage
   • Misuse or negligence
   • Normal wear and tear (including tyres and brakes)
   • Unauthorized modifications or repairs

Important: This is not a free repair warranty. All services and repairs are provided at a cost unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Returns & Exchanges
   • Returns must be requested within 7 days of purchase.
   • Products must be unused and in original packaging.
   • Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee.
   • No returns will be accepted for used or damaged products unless defective upon delivery.
7. Repairs & Maintenance
   • Customers are responsible for regular maintenance of the scooter.
   • All repairs outside of the support policy are fully chargeable.
   • Only authorized technicians should perform repairs.
8. Liability
   • Speedbikes SA is not liable for:
   • Injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from use
   • Loss or theft of the product
   • Use of the scooter is entirely at the owner’s own risk.
9. Legal Compliance
   • Customers must comply with all local laws and regulations regarding electric scooters.
   • Speedbikes SA is not responsible for fines, penalties, or legal consequences resulting from misuse.
10. Ownership & Risk
    • Ownership transfers to the buyer upon full payment received.
    • Risk of loss or damage transfers upon delivery or collection.
11. Pricing & Payment
    • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
    • Full payment is required before delivery or collection.
    • Speedbikes SA accepts the following payment methods:
    • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
    • Cash on collection
    • Card payment
    • Orders will only be processed once payment has been received and confirmed.
    • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
12. Delivery
    • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary.
    • Speedbikes SA is not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers.
13. Modifications to Terms
    • Speedbikes SA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
